Low-pressure brewing! Rainfall warning for coastal Odisha The IMD has announced the probable formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, expecting it to cause rainfall in coastal Odisha. Sanjeev Dwivedy from IMD Bhubaneswar indicated thunderstorms and heavy rain on 23rd September.Alow-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal and it is expected to trigger rainfall in the coastal parts of Odisha in the next couple of days, informed the IMD in its bulletin on Saturday."Under the influence of two upper air cyclonic circulations, a low-pressure area is likely to form over northwest & adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around 23rd September 2024," the IMD said.
