With 2020 being an eventful year, we had one last trip salmon fishing. This time it was to the North of Scotland, the River Deveron. We were hoping for some action before the season closed and we were not disappointed!
Hooking 8 salmon and landing 5, the week turned out to be one to remember. We were fishing on the Marnoch Lodge beat, which has plenty of fly and spinning water to try.
Salmon was the main aim, however there was an abundance of out-of-season brown trout which ranged from 1/2 a pound to 4lb.
The banks were easily accessible and the wading was relatively easy.
I'm sure it is a place we will revisit in future.
