On this November afternoon a prominent leader of a Chinatown family association makes his final journey through the streets of San Francisco's Chinatown. On any given weekend afternoon, one or more funeral processions parade through the streets of Chinatown.

The procession is led by the Green Street Mortuary Band marching ahead of the coffin carrying the deceased in a hearse, followed by a large photograph of the deceased and followed by cars of mourners. The route is the final send off and the last physical journey for the deceased.

On this day, the band makes a brief stop and plays a song in front of the decedent's family association headquarters. It is a final farewell and allows the decease's spirits make one last visit. Other processions may stop at the decease's home or place of business in Chinatown.

The band plays as the procession leaves Chinatown enroute to burial services at one of the many Chinese cemeteries in Colma, CA
