Ducks have many functions in a permaculture system and can be an extremely beneficial element if placed correctly. Not only do the natural foraging instincts of ducks help rid a kitchen garden of slugs and snails, but they are also very prolific egg layers, laying beautiful large and very nutritious eggs. They also produce large amounts of highly nutritious manure, very beneficial for growing healthy plants and vegetables.

In the Kabadio PermaFoodForest, 7 ducks were part of the daily operation, and so the time came to learn how to feed them. For seven ducks, we served a daily portion of 1,5 Cups of Rice Husks and 1 Cup of Millet Seed, mixed with water.
In addition, the time came to change the water in the duck pond which you will also see in the video.
