Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura is a popular historical, religious and cultural city in Sri Lanka. It is in the North Central province Anuradhapura is the first capital of Sri Lanka. There are many ruins of ancient kingdoms. The eight sacred places are also situated here. Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanweliseya are some of them. The moonstone and Kuttampokuna are some of the famous ruins. There are many ancient tanks such as Thisawewa and Basawakkulama. Anuradhapura is a place of worship as well as a place of tourist attraction. It is also a world heritage site.
