Below St Mullins Lock the River Barrow is tidal, something is both a blessing and a curse: the outgoing tide can move at up to 4 Knots, carrying your vessel with it, but it can also drive you onto rocks or sandbanks. There are no moorings along the way so, if you don't want to run aground, you need to complete the journey before the tide drops. Eco Showboat artists Anne Cleary & Denis Connolly are navigating Ireland’s inland waterways meeting local artists, scientists and communities to spark climate action.
