For this multi-part adventure, join me and my buddy ‪@JoshEbersole‬ in that state up north--Michigan. Part One is a backpacking adventure along the Manistee River. This gorgeous section of northern woods has some of the best scenery I've ever seen. The trail is not difficult, and the payoff is more than worth it. Every campsite we came across was a winner, and the one we chose was stunning. The NCT side of the loop is a bit less scenic and has almost no water.
