After 6 months my Maytag dishwasher broke. Even though it’s under warranty, the part is on “indefinte back order.” The service company wouldn’t do anything and I’m not going to hand wash dishes for 6 months. He said this wouldn’t void warranty, take that for how you want. The chopper blades are only used to help chop up food, my advice is pre rinse you dishes of the big stuff. Dishwashers worked for years without chopper blades. Hope this helps.
