Basically my theory = the Strange Man is Sister Calderon (and the potentially unfaithful husband). All else was likely subject to influence by reading other people’s theories. Though I can’t really parse them apart because this happened probably 1-2 years ago. I figured it’d make a cool enough video, so here we are lol.

Parts not witnessed firsthand are supplemented by research—whether reading, yt, or general hearsay.

Also, kudos to my bf for being so adamant on showing me the Sister Calderon scene. Even when he didn’t get it in the game, he pulled it up on yt and showed me there. The “I know you” just about gave me chills. It felt like something was opening up in my brain haha. I wish I could have more experiences like that.

Can’t recall if me or my bf found that cool Reddit thing that viNdiCaTed me thereafter.

This vid is about the Redemptions. I know little to nothing about Revolver.

Views on death expressed in this video are hypotheticals and don’t necessarily reflect my own religious views.

Regarding the list of diseases. My knowledge on historical diseases/epidemics is next to nothing. So allow for a 100% margin of error. :P

Also-also, I know there’s a relatively popular theory that the Strange Man is meant to be God, because of a couple lines he has, these lines including the high honor: “You know, I admire you, John. I hope my boy turns up just like you.” People assume this is a reference to Jesus. Or maybe just a hypothetical, in the case the Strange Man isn’t God. I’ve never read “Paradise Lost” myself, but there’s this, taken from the Paradise Lost SparkNotes: “While Satan was still an angel, she sprang forth from his head, and was named Sin. Satan then incestuously impregnated her, and she gave birth to a ghostly son named Death. Death in turn raped his mother Sin, begetting the dogs that now torment her. Sin and Death were then assigned to guard the gate of Hell and hold its keys.”

So, if the Strange Man is an evil iteration of Death, the “son” line could still make sense if it’s alluding to this. Only, rather than a compliment, it would be a bitter mockery. I know that’s random, but it just kinda shot into my head. I didn’t even read all the SparkNotes, I just nabbed this info lol. Dunno. Add it to the list of a thousand other possibilities. But it feels like Rockstar wanted the Strange Man to be more neutral, subject to account your actions and react accordingly. So this is probably wrong.

Maybe the Strange Man and the Sister are two separate entities, one charged with dealing with evil and one charged with dealing with good? But that’s a whole ‘nother animal.

Peace.
