Josh arrives at Cross Creek to find that Reva flew straight there from Italy because she needed some time after Sarah's death. She assumes Josh brought Annie and the kids but he tells her that he’s alone. Annie is trying to find Josh and calls the diner to find out that Reva is missing too. Annie realizes that they are probably somewhere together. Annie calls Cross Creek and Josh answers. She wants to talk but he says he needs a few days. Josh tells Reva that Annie broke faith & lied to him. He also says that he wanted to throw everything away in Italy and go be with Reva. Reva says he has to stay focused.

Later after a sleepless night in separate rooms, Reva & Josh admit their feelings for each other and start to make love. Buzz & Annie are on their way to Cross Creek. Buzz decides to trust Reva and doesn’t go inside but Annie barges in. Annie & Josh argue and when she asks for a blanket, Josh goes in the bedroom where Reva tells him they can’t keep lying. Josh says that he’ll tell Annie but while he’s talking to Reva, Annie sees the extra tea cup with lipstick and realizes that Reva is there. So when Josh comes back in the room, Annie announces she’s pregnant.
