I was hesitant about not uploading this video. Yesterday, it was around 98°F at night in Thousand Oaks, and the go-karts were not running as well as I expected. Technical faults often happen in such conditions. I hope next month will be better. During hotter seasons, the go-karts tend to either slow down or overheat. Unfortunately, for the GP round, I didn't qualify in group C because there were only two groups, A and B. I was fortunate enough to be in group B for the final round, but I had to place last due to my slower time. Combining this with the intense heat and kart problems, I experienced something unexpected for the first time in K1 GP - motion sickness. I got motion sickness so bad in the last few laps that I decided to give up. I let my friend, who was in front of me, take the winning position. I learned a lot from this round. I think it's common for most professional drivers to eat before racing. I accidentally raced with an empty stomach because I had only a few ‘ollipops’ not lollipops the night before. This caused me to have a severe headache due to the bumping and stuff. This has happened once before, but not in the GP. I learned my lesson and hope to get another 4th or 5th place finish in the next round. In terms of my driving skills, it's true that I haven't claimed any first-place finish since the beginning of this year. I know my skills are still low compared to everyone else. However, I hope to win at least once in the lower division instead of the higher division. Only time will tell if it will happen this year or perhaps next year. Enjoy the video, let me know your thoughts, and if you're interested, you can subscribe to my channel for monthly content of the K1 GP 2024 series. See you in the next video!
