Hi! This was a quick little experiment that came to mind. This is my take on a Maloof joint using a large dowel as the leg. There is a bunch of refining to be done to make this even better and more precise but this is a decent start. The biggest key is making sure your dowels are the same diameter as the hole your forstner bit will drill. Hopefully I can incorporate this into a project or two in the coming months.
