I hand forage & Test 4 Nautral tinders in a local urban conservation park during Winter 2020, we take a look at the phyical differences between the tinders and then go on to testing them using a Ferrocerium Rod 'Fire Steel'' and noting the ignition qualities with comparison.
+ + Discussed & Shown: + + +
1: Grass and other Native plant dried seed heads
2:The Birch Twig Bundle (Something I came up with and recommend)
3:We look at and discuss where we use Dried stems of meadow flowers such as Dead Standing Nettles and Hog Weed
This is the first video in a series on fire lighting videos which Will Include Tinders for Tropical Regions, as well as some NEW TINDER EXPERIMENTATION which looks promising and is quite original, I have not yet seen any other examples of this - to stay up to date when an upload is posted please make sure you have the Bell Notification selected.
NOTE: This will be a continually growing and expanding these experiments, I am very keen to bring newer options to the world of fire lighting and have already stumbled upon two, one is still in experiment stage and the other (When I was in SE Asia Last year), was 100% successful - to give you a teaser, I made fire from a Tropical Fruit!
