Two Delaware videos in a single week? What's even happening here?

On request from @johnt7372, here's a look at the Main Event Entertainment location in Newark, Delaware, which happens to be the closest Main Event near me. This was my third visit to this spot, and I'm still running down the credits on a game card from my first visit at this point. This place can get very crowded in the afternoon and weekend evenings; our second visit on a Sunday night literally consisted of walking in, seeing how jam-packed it was, and walking right back out again. Thankfully, this visit wasn't too terrible crowd-wise, and we got to enjoy ourselves for a little bit.

Main Event is another one of those family entertainment center chains with locations throughout the United States. Formerly thoughout of as a competitor to the likes of Dave & Buster's, they were actually bought out by D&B back in 2022. There's a lot of similarities between the two chains, but also some major differences; Main Event features both bowling lanes and a ropes course, plus they also have multiple choices for food in the building. Many of the games you find here at Main Event are evergreen staples of D&B; Pop the Lock, Skee-Ball, Treasure Quest, Down the Clown, Jurassic Park, Spinner Frenzy, Mario Kart, so on and so forth. They also feature the new NBA Superstars game which is blowing up everywhere lately! Music games have quite a bit of representation here, with Guitar Hero, Pump It Up, and Beat Saber Arcade all showing up.

Unfortunately, maintenance definitely seems to be an issue here; out of five games we played, four of them had issues. Pac-Man and Galaga both had joystick issues, with Pac-Man being laggy and Galaga's joystick being completely unresponsive. One side of Mario & Sonic was eating credits. Aliens was super laggy and the P2 gun wasn't targeting at all. The only one that we tried that was actually working as intended was the newest one on the floor, NBA Superstars. Needless to say, when we left, we still had even more credits left on the card. Maybe our fourth visit will be the charm?
