We had the pleasure of sitting down with Peter Burega who dove into why he chooses to center joy in his life and beauty in his work.

Peter is a pianist who became a lawyer, after that a television director before he began his journey into paint. Peter says all of his previous pursuits, his “past lives” rather, informs his work as an artist, embodying in them an inherent contradiction. Emerging from conflict, his work sizzles with effervescent energy fighting any attempts at control resulting in a certain tension between the grid he scores on every surface and the chaotic nature of his abstractive process.
