After reinforcing the platform, changing rolling stocks, adjusting the stopping position and more platform works, the second station to get platform gates on the MTR East Rail Line is Tai Po Market! The first 2 platform gates entered service on 2023/06/03. After 4 months of installing, platform 4's platform gates were fully installed on 09/29. It is now the 3rd East Rail Line platform to have full platform doors. Based on the progress, and assuming the platform gates will be installed platform-by-platform. All East Rail Line stations will get platform gates in or before 2025.
經過月台加固工程，更換列車，調整停車位置及前期工程後，大埔墟成為第二個設有月台閘門的東鐵線車站！大埔墟站首兩個閘門在2023年6月3日啟用，經過4個月的安裝，4號月台於9月29日完成安裝所有閘門，成為東鐵綫第三個完成閘門安裝的月台。按照這個進度，並假設是逐個月台安裝閘門的話，大埔墟站預計需要1年時間完成其他3個月台的閘門。東鐵綫所有車站將會在2025年或之前前完成安裝月台閘門。
