Today's video we are going to talk about 5 common mistakes on snow driving. These 5 mistakes one should avoid during winter driving on snowy or ice wintery roads. Especially when you drive in a crowded place. If you have a driving license test date on one of the wintery and snowy roads. Then you must be extra careful. Welcome back to another interesting video with Key2DL and we will talk about driving on wintry icy roads and their precautions.

Mistake No 5
Before driving, many people don't check the outside temperature and weather. Check the outside temperature and assess the situation. It is important to know whether it is snowing, whether it is dry snow or wet snow, and how fast it is falling. Take a look at the weather to know what to expect and be mentally prepared before you start driving.

Mistake No 4
Following the front vehicle too closely. Keep a larger braking distance from the vehicle in front of you. It is common for inexperienced drivers to follow too closely the vehicle in front. Keep a safe distance from the previous vehicle. If you make a mistake or hit the front vehicle by chance, all the mistake is yours, not theirs. No matter how slow the front vehicle is going.
Mistake #3 Be aware of the heating system in the car. Many people aren't familiar with the car's heating system. A temperature difference may cause frost to form inside the car, which will affect visibility. When you drive on a high-speed road, it can be a big problem. Be aware of how the car's heating system works.

Mistake No 2
Make sure you know when to operate the fog light and how to switch it on and off. This is one of the major mistakes that most of the experienced drivers also don't know. I.e., when to turn on and when not to turn on. Most of the time, it is put into automatic mode by default.

Mistake No 1
And last but not least, here's another mistake one should avoid. One of the most important mistakes is driving too fast. Make sure you drive smoothly during snowfall and don't overspeed. Whenever you brake, steer, accelerate, or change gears, make sure you do it slowly and smoothly.

When you driving during winter in Swede, it requires extra preparation and skill to stay safe on the road.  You need winter tires when driving in Sweden during wintry conditions from December 1st through March 31st. Snow, ice or frost on any part of the road or adjacent roads and surface are all considered wintry conditions. It is important to test your braking distance on a deserted stretch of road and pay extra attention to bridges as they can be icy even if the regular road isn't . If you're not experienced with snow and ice driving, it's apparent that windscreens are not covered under most default car rental insurance so make sure to go for extensive cover if you're taking a long trip or driving in winter.
