This 6/8 pipe march was composed by PM Donald MacRae of the 2nd Battalion Cameron Highlanders, who fought in the fierce battle around the monastery of Monte Cassino between January and May 1944 as the allied troops advanced through Italy.
My version is played on octave mandolin.
