Today was the day I had been waiting for ever since the announcement had came from Union Pacific. It was the return of the Union Pacific 844 steam locomotive. Lucky for me, my mom signed me off school and I got to go enjoy a beautiful afternoon in Kirkwood, MO with my good buddy Chris. I also was able to hang out with some fellow railfanners and friends, Ryan (UPdetector), Kevin (CQDX018), (railfanatic844) and Mike (TrainmanKight). Caught ten trains total! Enjoy!!!!

KIRKWOOD, MO:

No sooner than I arrived at Kirkwood, the Amtrak 314 pulled into the station heading east into Saint Louis, MO.

After the Amtrak cleared up, the railfans started showing up and it just kept getting better and better! Here we have a empty coal train starting its descent down Kirkwood hill.
