Celebrate the Year of The Dragon in Franklin Square with new illuminated displays, authentic Chinese food options, cultural performances, the Franklin Square Fountain Show, and, of course, the iconic 200-foot-long dragon through August 31!

It should be 28th of August when this video is uploaded which means you only have several days to get there before this event is concluded, if you have not been there yet, go there ASAP, it's well worth the cost of entrance! Year of The Dragon is the most auspicious and only comes around every 12 years and every year there are different lanterns in this square. Shows are included in the price of entrance and show time is 7:30 PM, 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM every night, they are a MUST SEE, I especially like the one where a performer stands upside down on a row of chairs because that takes a lot of skill!

There are street meter parking around the area, but time is limited to 3 hours. If you plan to stay there for over 3 hours, I recommend parking at "Autopark at Independence Mall", it's well worth the cost because you only have to walk a block or two. This self parking garage is directly under Independence Visitor Center.
