I am Mala from Malaysia. Thank you for the opportunity
Doctor, I wanted to discuss a pressing issue in Malaysia and hear your thoughts on it.
Many people in Malaysia are struggling with depression and sadness due to cyberbullying.
Unlike in India, where TikTok is not available, this app is incredibly popular in Malaysia and is almost like a life platform beyond just posting videos 24/7.
Hundreds of people form groups specifically to gossip, bully, or troll others, including their family members. Sadly, cyberbullying has led to numerous suicides.
What’s particularly shocking is that even those who are bold and actively connected with NGOs and activists are becoming victims.
This issue has persisted for the past three to four years, affecting both men and women who have a strong mental resilience.
Recently, a well-known activist who had done a lot for the community also took her life because of cyberbullying.

Doctor:
Thanks Mala for coming all the way from Malaysia.

It’s important to remember that suicide is never the answer or a solution to any problem in life.
People may believe that ending their life will solve their problems, but it’s absolutely not a
solution.
On the contrary, if you choose to confront the issue, it will disappear before your eyes.
Both the problem and its originator will eventually fade away.

I have personally experienced this in many situations and can confidently attest to it.
When faced with a problem, we must approach it with courage. It’s crucial to cultivate an attitude that enables us to handle any challenge that comes our way.
I’m not just saying this — those of you watching this video can try it yourselves.
Life is full of challenges, so pick one that seems insurmountable. Make a commitment to address it, regardless of the outcome, and confront it directly. You’ll see how the problem resolves itself. It really does happen.
We can delve into the spiritual side of things, discussing how God or the Universe may assist us in finding a solution. However, our determination is essential for all of that to come to fruition.
From a spiritual perspective, bullies, regardless of gender, are people who need assistance.
They deserve more compassion from us because it’s possible they’ve never experienced love in their lives.
This lack of love can lead to frustration and a craving for attention.
Bullies often seek attention by targeting others. We should try to approach them with compassion, recognizing that they may need more love and affection.
It’s not necessary to be harsh with them just because of their behavior.
If engaging with them is too difficult, simply ignore them.
Suicide in response to cyberbullying is definitely not the answer. It’s not worth it.
Many of us have experienced bullying from relatives, schoolmates, colleagues, and others. It’s a pervasive issue.
Choosing to end one’s life because of bullying suggests a lack of fundamental self-understanding.
Most importantly, it implies a mistaken belief that we are inferior to others.
Everyone knows the sky is blue. If a bully insists it’s yellow, should we be upset and lament this falsehood?
I know who I am and so do you.
Be it a troll or a video, why should we allow a third party to diminish our worth with their words or actions?
Every individual is special and we should live our lives on our own terms.
There is no absolute right or wrong, and no one has the authority to make us feel inferior.
It’s not worth it.
Doctor:
Be true to yourself.
Don’t let social media define who you are.
You are already a complete individual, and you won’t become inferior just because someone else says so.
Being trolled on social media doesn’t make you a target for ridicule.
There’s a significant difference between reality and social media.
Believe yourself and live a happy life. Ignore everything and move on.
Mala: Thank you so much doctor. Thank you for the time.

Unleash the best version of yourself!
