In the twelfth episode, (Part 2 of episode 11) Cassidy spends more time with her mentor Theresa, a mom and fellow cancer patient (AML- acute myeloid leukemia). Cassidy and Theresa compare treatments and side effects. Their discussion teaches Cassidy that advocating for yourself and others is a great way to take control of an uncontrollable situation. They examine the physical and emotional toll of cancer. They also give special thanks to the blood and tissue donors, nurses and doctors who help save the lives cancer patients.
