My old Makita sander broke last week, cable had frayed, switch also failed and the clamps were struggling to hold in the paper so i bought a replacement.

Makita BO3710 1/3 Sheet Sander Works well enough, sanded some blocks and a few plaques that i had lying around and it finished them off nicely. Clamping system for holding the paper seem ok, time will tell. 240v uk version, probably a 110v version out there for overseas or site use.

Paid £53 from ebay delivered, Screwfix have it in for £49.99, well worth the money, im not sure but i think the last one lasted some 10 odd years of semi pro use.
