If you're a stickler for historical accuracy or just want a nudge in the right direction for an uncommon army build, here's a little bit of everything you'll need to know to assemble troops for a 2NZ Division force in WWII games.

Nicknamed Freyberg's 40,000 Thieves the men of 2NZ were inveterate looters and had a habit of picking up anything which hadn't been nailed down - photographs of the period show them carrying a wealth of gear and weaponry 'surplus to issue,' including German weaponry and a few American M1 helmets!

No matter what game you're planning to play with them, having 2NZ infantry on the table with their signature gear is going to make them stand out, especially if that includes a few bits of borrowed kit... Painting them is much the same as any other Commonwealth infantry of the period, so we'll not cover that in this little guide, but as far as getting them as close to accurate with simple plastic kitbashing? You'll be golden after following along here.
