The Chicago Bears have signed UDFA Ian Wheeler from Howard University to help add key RB depth and create competition for the the return specialist job on special teams.

Wheeler was one of the best kick returners in the NCAA during the 2023-2024 season and Chicago saw his potential and chose to pick him up.

Not only that, he's a very solid running back as well, a true dual threat out of the backfield. He can run and catch and is constantly moving the chains, giving Chicago plenty of options for him to do on gameday if Khalil Herbert, Roschon Johnson, or anyone else goes down on the roster.
