Recipe ingredients
FOR THE LEAST
• 1 cup of warm milk (200 ml)
• 2 spoons of honey or 4 spoons of sugar
• 125 g fresh yeast or 40 g dry yeast
• 1.5 cups of flour (from our flour)
FOR THE DOUGH
• 8 eggs
• 800 g of sugar (4 well-filled cups)
• 1.5 teaspoons of kakoule (16 g, i.e. 2 sachets)
• 1.5 teaspoons of machlep (16 g i.e. 2 sachets)
• 2 cups of fresh or strained yogurt (400 g)
• 2 kilos of flour (except what we put in the leaven)
* optional crushed mastic & orange peel
ABOVE THE PASTA
• 2 spoons of sunflower oil
TO REMOVE THE BRAIDED
• 1 egg yolk + 3 spoons of water
• almond or sesame fillets
