Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is closely involved with dementia charities and works in close partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society and Age UK. As part of this involvement this short film raises awareness of the issues faced by the early onset of dementia.

The concept of using a short film to raise awareness of issues around dementia is the idea of film makers Arthur and Ann Fletcher from Sutton Coldfield Movie Makers who worked closely with staff and crews at Bromsgrove Fire Station to produce the film ‘The Shout’.

The film revolves around a firefighter with dementia and highlights some of the early warning signs that can easily be missed in a younger person.

The Service would like to thank Arthur and Ann Fletcher for the concept and their hard work in producing the film and also the crews from Bromsgrove station for their thespian skills clearly demonstrated in the film.
