This video is a comparison between a jumping jack tamper, a vibratory plate compactor, and a hand tamper. They are evaluated on 3 things.
1. Compaction Rating- How much compaction each machine creates. We measure everything with a laser transit level. Sensitivity was set to 1/8 of an inch.
2. Finish- How even and smooth the material is after compaction.
3. Ease of Use- How easy are the compaction tools to move, steer, and handle
