On our 2nd full day in Washington, we finally got to cross off one of our hikes to do: Lake twenty two! This beautiful alpine lake trail is located along the Mountain Loop Highway and is a 5.2 mile round-trip hike. Be prepared to arrive super early to get parking and to also get a nice view of the lake up on top.

PRO TIP: Best to not arrive at the lake after noon to avoid a back lit view! We did this in July and started this hike at 10am. We wished we started earlier, but since we were unable to find parking we pushed our start time later.
