A 345 mile ride along the C&O and GAP trails from Washington DC to Pittsburgh upon a Surly Midnight Special camping along the way.

Day 1 includes a drive to Pittsburgh, a sleeper car upon an Amtrak to DC, and a 41 mile ride to the Marble Quarry campsite.

Day 2 includes a 76 mile ride to the North Mountain campsite, stopping at a Dam along the way.

Day 3 is a 46 mile ride to the Purslane Run campsite, going through the Paw Paw Tunnel along the way.

Day 4 is a 30 mile ride to the Marriott in Cumberland to refresh.

Day 5 is a 44 mile ride up to the Easter Continental Divide and down to the Husky Haven campground in Rockport.

Day 6 is a 56 mile ride to the Round Bottom campground, stopping at Ohiopyle along the way and picking up dinner at the Kickstand Cafe.

Day 7, the final day, is a 51 mile ride back to Pittsburgh.

Some of my gear includes my custom built 1x Surly Midnight Special with I9 wheels and a Whisky carbon fork, Arkel Panniers and handlebar bag, Tubus rear rack, one-person Big Agnes Copper Spur HL tent, Hummingbird Hammock, Therm-a-Rest Ohm 32-Degree Ultralight Down Camping Sleeping Bag, Klymit Insulated Static V Lite Sleeping Pad.
