ভয়াল সেই পিটালি গাছ

চারিদিক ঘনকালো আঁধারে ছেয়ে যাচ্ছে, আচমকা আকাশে গর্জন হচ্ছে, বাতাস বইতে শুরু করেছে। কিন্তু অদ্ভুত বিষয় হচ্ছে পিটালি গাছের পাতাগুলো একটুও নড়ছে না! যেন প্রত্যেকটা পাতা কারো বশে আছে। শ্যামার গাটা ছমছম করে উঠে, জনমানবহীন নদীর পাড় দেখে কেমন ভয় ভয় লাগছে। সুমি তো ওকে রেখে চলে গেছে। ওর ও দ্রুত জায়গাটা ত্যাগ করা উচিত।
