Carrots are grown all around the world, but some places make a lot more than others. China is one of the biggest carrot producers, and in 2021, they made a whopping 41.7 million metric tons of this vegetable. In North America, Canada and the United States are leading the way in carrot production and distribution. They're making sure we have plenty of carrots to eat because the demand for them is going up. So, how do they do it?

Farmers use big carrot harvesters to pull the carrots out of the ground. The carrots are go through washing machines or get peeled by special automated machinery. Then, they're sorted and packed into bags or trays ready to be sent to stores.
