You see, one of the few big announcements that were made during this year’s North American International Auto Show was the introduction of the 2024 Ford F-150 series. For what it’s worth, this is “a built-in Ford trick that is smart and powerful to conquer life’s challenges.” Let’s just say that we always knew that such an amazing truck was coming.
There is no way that Ford and Shelby would have updated the F-150 trucks and left behind the Raptors. They also got the refresh treatment. However, that does not mean that the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 Raptor R is better than the Ram 1500 TRX, which comes with 702 horsepower.
Let’s just say that there is so much that the Centennial Edition Shelby Super Snake F-150 brings to the table, instantly raising the bar. The truck that will beat this one will be one of the most insane pickup trucks ever.
There are a number of folks who have decided to give us some CGI looks at the unannounced 2025 Shelby F-150 Super Snake. Let’s just say that these renderings make our imagination go wild, even though it is only when it comes to the design of the car. And naturally, it doesn’t really take a genius to come up with some of the potential changes that would come with the next iteration. After all, the 2024 F-150 refresh is already out in the open, and the previous Shelby Super Snake is an excellent indication of how the new model will evolve.
All this leaves a lot of questions unanswered, mainly because it is purely speculation. Will this be enough to disrupt the established order off-road business, where the Ram 1500 TRX keeps coming on top of its 700-horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor R competitor in most comparisons and reviews?
The 2025 Shelby pickup truck will be a truck unlike any other. According to some of the information that was recently released, this is a truck that will have more than 800 horsepower. All this raw power is rumored to be coming from a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine. That is a pretty powerful engine, if you ask me.
In addition to all that torque, it is also said that it will produce about 150 pound-feet of torque at 4500 RPM. This will definitely ensure that there is enough explosive acceleration and responsive power. This cannot even be considered pushing boundaries. It is more like shattering them completely.
In addition to all that, the Raptor comes fitted with custom 18-inch wheels sporting 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires. And in the event that you get a puncture, there are two extra full-size spares mounted in the bed. Simply put, this Raptor was very intimidating to its entire competition.
After all those years of trailing behind its competition, it is finally time for Shelby to take the throne when it comes to pickup trucks. And instead of producing one that produces 700 horsepower, they have decided to raise the bar to 800 horsepower. And unless RAM also has something similar planned, there is no way even their TRX trucks will get to this one. The only way they can reach the 2025 Shelby F-150 is by upgrading their trucks to give them more horsepower. But with the way things are, there are no signs of that happening any time soon.
