I can kind of see why drivers hate cyclists so much when I see cyclists doing this. Going through every red light, at speed with little of no pause to make sure it's safe.
When I suggested to the one guy that he could wait I got a "fuck off" or similar reaction.
Fortunately I don't see cyclists as bad as this most of the time and this sort of behaviour is in the minority. I bet if you asked any of the drivers who saw it they would just paint all cyclists with the same brush though.
