Went on an overnight trip recently aboard the Thunderbird out of Davey's Locker (Newport Beach, CA). Top priority was BIG yellowtail. Secondary was a good calico bass bite. While the overall bite was slower than we/I would have preferred (cloudy conditions are not ideal for San Clemente Island fishing), there were still some fish to be caught.

It was a decent trip overall, (my first trip of the season), but it ended with me needing/wanting more...
