Create a stunning 3D bottle rack design for a home wine bar. This DIY woodworking project is perfect to make in any small woodshop, without the need for expensive woodworking equipment or CNC machines!

The wine cabinet design consists of three elements: a 3-dimensional rack for bottles, a body with drawers and a hanger for glasses, with clean and modern lines and a feeling of comfort, warmth and coziness. Each of element is dedicated to a separate video.

Material – furniture panel made of solid ash.
You may find detailed 3D model of this wine rack and cabinet design on my PATREON page (see link below)

SUMMARY:
The master woodworker takes on a project to create a built-in wine cabinet with a unique 3D bottle rack. The project is complex but interesting, as the master has never done such work before. Using ash wood panels, the process begins with creating a detailed 3D model in SketchUp to break down the work into stages and minimize errors.

The first stage involves preparing the components for the front and back flat grids. The master cuts the slats, calibrates them, and creates grooves for half-lap joints. Then, he proceeds to mill the holes for dowels to attach the horizontal elements. To speed up the process, the master uses an experimental method with an MDF template, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the work.

After preparing all the parts for the front and back grids, the master starts cutting the horizontal elements, totaling 54 pieces in the model. He calibrates the slats on a thickness planer and cuts spare parts in case of damage. For the assembly and gluing of the flat grids, the master uses glue and carefully checks all the joints to ensure their accuracy.

Next, the master moves on to the most challenging stage – assembling the three-dimensional grid. He assembles and glues the grids step by step, checking each joint and allowing the glue to set. During this process, the master uses various tools and methods to ensure the structure's precision and reliability. Special attention is given to the glue dosage to prevent it from seeping out.

The final steps include sanding, chamfering, and applying oil to the wood. The master also explains why he prefers using pre-made ash wood panels instead of making them himself, citing economic calculations and time management considerations. Finally, he takes pride in the result and invites viewers to subscribe to his channel to not miss upcoming videos.
