Pacific Crest Trail 2021

California Section B (Warner Springs to I-10 Oasis) is 100 miles.

April 8 - 15, 2021

We were warned that this section was “treacherous” due to snow levels through San Jacinto. Many hikers carried ice axes, crampons, and micro spikes. Some hikers even skipped this section all together because they were told that they should. We chose to carry micro spikes but did not use them. This section was beautiful, feeling like a semi-snowy hike back home, and it was a reminder for us that everybody comes into this experience with different strengths and weaknesses. We all bring our own skills to the table. We will continue to listen to advice but will do so in stride. Ultimately this is our journey, and the best decisions are the decisions that are best for us.


We took a relaxing zero day in Idyllwild this section, staying in a cute AirBnb that was a historic schoolhouse.
