This is the first video in a series exploring dry stone walls. I hope to adventure all across the country looking at and learning about the brilliant use of building without cement.

Maybe I will get to go further afield at somepoint as well. Today I was in West Yorkshire, looking at the remians of some old walls which will hav once supported a busy road and farm land. I also come across some newer, neater walls as well.

I am no expert on walls at all, I just love walking round and finding them. I would greatly appriciate any knowledge, facts or locations of good walls to explore.

I would like to thank Angus J. L. Winchester for his brilliant book 'Dry Stone Walls: History and Heritage'. He has made my walks so much more interesting now I know more about the walls.
