With 228,500 inhabitants, 1/3 of whom are students, Tübingen is a student city par excellence. The special feature: There is no real campus - the teaching buildings are scattered across Tübingen, like the students themselves. Not only Goethe, Schiller and Hölderlin had close connections to Tübingen, the DNA was also discovered here.

The University of Tübingen is one of the oldest and most renowned universities in Germany. The Swabian city is considered to be very environmentally conscious and this is also reflected in the cityscape: influences from Fridays for future, a ticket-free Saturday and many bicycles. Stories and sights can be found around every corner. It doesn't matter whether it's a punt ride, exploring the upper and lower towns with their wine past or discovering the first art of mankind - Tübingen offers the unusual and the traditional, but no matter where you go, you can feel the attitude towards life of a young student town.

Tübingen thrives on its mix, regular change, without losing its atmosphere. Tübingen is more of a village than a city, embedded between the northern Black Forest and the Swabian Jura Biosphere Reserve, where the Goldersbach flows into the Ammer and these, like the Steinlach, flow into the Neckar.
