I look at the rise and fall of the whole "metalcore covers of top 40 rap or pop songs" thing (or as they were also called, "screamo covers"), including:
Early examples like Me First And The Gimme Gimmes
The early metalcore covers like I Set My Friends On Fire doing Soulja Boy'd "Crank Dat," Miss May I doing Savage's "Swing," and Of Mice & Men doing Lady Gaga's "Poker Face"
Fearless Records' Punk Goes Crunk album, especially The Devil Wear's Prada's metalcore cover of "Still Fly" by Big Tymers
The peak: Punk Goes Pop 2, 3 and 4, featuring Woe Is Me, Attack Attack, A Day To Remember, Chunk No Captain Chunk, and We Came As Romans among others
The decline, as the trend got beaten to death
Newer metalcore cover bands like Fame On Fire and Our Last Night, who cover Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Ed Sheeran, etc and do very, very well
How I Prevail used their cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" to start their impressive career
