The peak: Punk Goes Pop 2, 3 and 4, featuring Woe Is Me, Attack Attack, A Day To Remember, Chunk No Captain Chunk, and We Came As Romans among others
The decline, as the trend got beaten to death
Newer metalcore cover bands like Fame On Fire and Our Last Night, who cover Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Ed Sheeran, etc and do very, very well
How I Prevail used their cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" to start their impressive career
