For our Veteran's Day tribute, we look back at the military television series of the 1967-68 season. World War II themed television series were popular during the 1960s, and one of the best was The Rat Patrol. The series starred charismatic Christopher George (Sgt. Sam Troy), Gary Raymond (sgt. Jack Moffitt) and Hans Gudegast (aka Eric Braeden) as Captain Hans Dietrich, the Rat Patrol's weekly German military nemesis.

The series would run on ABC television for two season, beginning on September 12, 1966 and ending in spring 1968. This cold open and title sequence is from the second season, with is particular episode premiering on October 9, 1967 and titled: 'The Love Thine Enemy Paid.' It is our favorite of the series. The first season titled sequence is very similar to the second, with a variation on the credit photos of each of the main actors.

The entire series is available on DVD set and is highly recommended.
