Commander Gaius is one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree! This video is a guide on how to beat him using a cheese strategy. Basically you want to get Commander Gaius stuck on the castle walls to the left of the boss arena entrance, and then position yourself so that you're out of range of his attacks, but still close enough to use Bloodboon Ritual on Mohg's Sacred Spear. It's also helpful to use Bloodhound Step on a dagger or something, to dodge him if you need. Bloodhound Step is more forgiving with the i-frames (invincibility frames).
