Doug Varone's newest work "in the shelter of the fold" will premiere on November 5 at The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College.

It was created in residence at Skidmore College in Saratoga, NY with funding from the New York State Council for the Arts; the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME with funding from the National Performance Network, National Endowment for the Arts, other foundations and individual support; and Purchase College as a joint project between the Performing Arts Center and the Conservatory of Dance.

"in the shelter of the fold" duet was commissioned by BAM for the 2017 Winter/Spring season.
