🕵️ Discover the Amazing GÁLDAR CUBE 🇮🇨 The colors of the Santiago Quarry
🟩 Today we visit. La Cantera de Santiago, also known as El Cubo de Gáldar, forms an impressive container measuring 30x30x30 meters (27,000 m3), hence the name of the cube. It's about thirty meters below street level. As Inma commented, it is accessed through a tunnel, which once passed, opens a wide and surprising perspective with geometric spaces and a great variety of colors, black and reddish ochres, produced by the volcanic strata and green due to the humidity existing in the cube.
In addition to its rich history, the Gáldar Cube stands out for its unique design. Its angular walls and characteristic geometric shapes make it a true visual treasure. Each angle is a sample of the skill and mastery of the stonemasons who worked in this place, leaving an impressive legacy for posterity.
