The Ali Forney Center is a New York City-based nonprofit and community center that provides housing and vital resources for unhoused LGBTQ+ youth. President and Executive Director Alex Roque shares how the center provides assistance to over 2,000 LGBTQ+ youth each year, including Maddox, a trans man who found himself on the street for two years after he cut ties with his family. Maddox shares how his time in the center inspired him to become an advocate for mental health and LGBTQ+ youth, and even got him an invite to the White House.
