One Direction alum Liam Payne has tragically died at age 31 after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family has issued a statement saying they are “heartbroken.” Authorities had received a 911 call shortly before Payne’s death saying he may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He had reportedly smashed his laptop and had to be carried to his room. In video from inside the room show on Argentinian media, the TV appeared to be smashed and there was what appeared to be drug paraphernalia on the floor. But Liam had seemed upbeat in some of his final Snapchat posts from Argentina. His girlfriend Kate Cassidy, seen in the videos, had left to return to the U.S. two days before he died.
