Elephant Massage in Phuket Thailand

A husband and wife were introduced to the elephants Lucky (age 3) and Lily (age 4) while on vacation in Phuket (Thailand). These elephants are now housed at an orphanage near to the hotel after being fortunate enough to be saved from poachers. Every day, their caretakers take them for walks along the beach where they may interact with children and other tourists. This video has Lucky and Lily giving the funniest massage you've ever seen! And for just the cost of a few pieces of fruit!

Similar videos have been making the rounds on the Internet for a while. Even movies of elephants playing musical instruments for tourists in Thailand exist. But this attraction that they promote has a darker past.

However, research indicates that elephants are typically taken away from their mothers when they are very young, which leaves them broken and dejected enough for the handlers to train them easily for feats like this one. Their keepers claim that the animals have been saved from dire situations. The term "training crush" or "elephant crush" is used.
