In a world first, the Baltic Sea Philharmonic and Kristjan Järvi played Stravinsky’s The Firebird, in its 1945 orchestral suite version without sheet music, entirely from memory. Since the first memorised performance in 2017, playing by heart became one of the orchestra’s trademarks up to performing entire concert programmes from memory.
