Genap. Setahun yang lalu, beginilah suasananya -- sedih, gembira, nekad dan percaya.
It's always been my wish to further study in this area (childhood). When I was still married, it seemed impossible. Earlier after divorce, I wasn't confident whether or not I able to single-parent abroad, plus I didn't want to make this 'hijrah' as to heal or runaway since I know it's not gonna be easy to juggle everything with unsettled heart.
A year after divorce, Papa passed away. Papa's passing was a blessing in disguise, it was like a huge slap for me to completely move on with the hurt and hope that still lingered. Alhamdulillah.
Some might already know how much I've tried to save my marriage. Telling you this, not to still cling over my past, but to prove that verily "...perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." [2:216] is so beautiful.
I encountered two major losses one year after another, loss that I never wanted -- but I believe this is what I needed. I learnt a bunch through the process and I am thankful for that.
Life here wasn't easy, at all. I juggled a lot; Study of course, direct @ommaesabel from afar, I've granted no scholarship hence I created another business opportunity here for living (and travelling π), handle social media content and well, single parenting. But hardship has taught me contentment. By being content, I appreciate and enjoy my everyday. Alhamdulillah.
This decision was not a single shot thought. Behind this are loads more reason. Though I am determined, I don't stubbornly decide things; I observe, measure and revise, a lot. But once I decided to start, I do it at full blast - and this has been my kick for the last one whole year.
Alhamdulillah Maream we survived our first year here in the UK just two of us π₯³ InshaAllah start next week bertiga, doakan ya π
