23rd March 1931: Shaheed is a Bollywood historical biographical film directed by Guddu Dhanoa and produced by Dharmendra. The film is based on the life of the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. It stars Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, and Amrita Singh in lead roles. This film commemorates the day of Bhagat Singh's martyrdom and also depicts interesting stories related to the lives of Sukhdev (Rahul Dev) and Rajguru (Vicky Ahuja).

The story begins in Lahore, showcasing Bhagat Singh's (Bobby Deol) childhood during the time when common people were oppressed under British rule. From a young age, Bhagat Singh experienced the harsh environment of British governance in India. His mind was often filled with thoughts and arguments about sacrificing himself for the country. When the British intensified their rule, Bhagat Singh aligned with the revolutionary ideas of Chandrashekhar Azad (Sunny Deol) to free the country and teach the British a lesson. The breaking point came when his mentor Lala Lajpat Rai (Raja Bundela) was beaten to death by the British. To avenge his death, Bhagat Singh plotted and executed the murder of a British officer, leading to his death sentence. The story doesn't end here... 23 मार्च 1931: शहीद एक बॉलीवुड हिन्दुस्तान की की ऐतिहासिक बायोग्राफी फिल्म है, जिसे गुड्डू धनोआ ने डायरेक्टर और प्रोड्यूसर धर्मेंद्र ने किया था। ये फिल्म स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी भगत सिंह के ऊपर बनाई गयी थी। इस फिल्म में बॉबी देओल, सनी देओल और अमृता सिंह लीड रोल में है। इस फिल्म को भगत सिंह के शहादत का दिन के रुप में मनाया जाता है और उनकी याद में इस फिल्म में सुखदेव
(राहुल देव) और राजगुरू (विक्की अहुजा) के जीवन से जुड़े कुछ रोचक किस्सों को दर्शाया गया है।

कहानी की शुरुआत लाहौर से होती है जब भगत सिंह (बॉबी देओल) बच्चे थे, उस माहौल को दिखाया गया है जब अंग्रेजों के हुकूमत पर आम जनता को प्रताड़ित किया जाता था। बचपन से ही उन्हें भारत में ब्रिटिश शासन के माहौल का सामना करना पड़ा था। बचपन में ही उनमें देश भक्ति की आग जल उठी थी। उनके तेज दिमाग में अक्सर देश के प्रति शहात होने की जिज्ञासा और तर्क से भरा रहता था।
जब देश में अंग्रेजों ने अपने रूल और हुकुम और तेजी से बढ़ाने की कोशिश की, तो देश को आजाद दिलाने के लिए और उन्हें सबक सिखाने के लिए चंद्रशेखर आजाद (सनी देओल) के क्रांतिकारी विचारों का साथ दिया। हद पार तब हुई, जब उनके गुरु लाला लाजपत राय (राजा बुंदेला) को अंग्रेजों ने पीट-पीट कर मार डाला, तो भगत सिंह उनकी मौत का बदला लेने के लिए निकले। और एक सोची समझी तैयारी के साथ उस ब्रिटिश अधिकारी की हत्या करने पर, भगत सिंह को मौत की सजा दी जाती है। कहानी यही खत्म नहीं
